Kirsten rules out England

Gary Kirsten has denied reports he is set to be interviewed about the England cricket coach job.

Speculation had placed India coach Kirsten alongside Andy Flower, currently in charge of England on a temporary basis, at the head of a list of candidates due to be interviewed next week.

But speaking in Wellington today, where he is preparing India for the Third Test against New Zealand, South African Kirsten said: "I am not a candidate."

Indian cricket's administrators also today confirmed Kirsten's contract with them doesn't expire until March 2010 - later than previously thought.
