Marathon stars set to beat travel chaos

A plane carrying 29 of the world's top distance runners will arrive here on a flight tonight for the Virgin London Marathon, beating the travel chaos caused by the volcanic ash cloud.

Race organisers specially chartered a plane, so the athletes would not miss Sunday's event.

Runners were flown into Madrid from around the world this week ahead of the flight to London.
