Bellator MMA champion Cris Cyborg has launched an online ‘quarantine workout’ for people forced to stay indoors during the coronavirus outbreak.

Lockdowns have been imposed in Italy and France to battle the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak while the UK government has advised people to avoid unnecessary social contact and to work from home where possible.

The virus has also halted sport worldwide with athletes across the planet forced to keep themselves fit behind closed doors.

Cyborg, a former UFC champion who won the Bellator featherweight title in her first fight with the promotion last December, hopes to get the general public doing likewise, launching her fitness campaign that will be live streamed live on her Youtube page Monday to Friday until 1 April, starting at 5pm [GMT].

Bellator cancelled it’s Bellator 241 card in Connecticut last Friday due to the outbreak with the promotion now entering an unrelated two-month break before its next scheduled event on May 9 in San Jose, California.
