Monaco's goal fest

14 April 2012

Croatia striker Dado Prso celebrated his 29th birthday by scoring four goals in Monaco's astonishing 8-3 win over Deportivo La Coruna.

Coach Didier Deschamps hailed the victory as "extraordinary" but he was at a loss to explain why so many goals were scored in a match that set a record for the competition.

"It's difficult to grasp," he said. "It's the sort of thing that is unthinkable."

Monaco lead Group C with nine points followed by Deportivo on seven.

PSV Eindhoven are third on six points after winning 2-0 at home to AEK Athens.
