Mourinho: Real can wait

Jose Mourinho admits he would love to join Spanish giants Real Madrid - but only after he leaves Stamford Bridge.

Speculation over Mourinho's future at Chelsea continues to surface but the Blues boss is determined to see out his contract with the champions before considering another job.

"It would be an honour to work in a club like Real Madrid," said Mourinho. "I don't say no for the future. I say clearly no until 2010 because I have a contract with Chelsea. I want to stay at Chelsea, I am in love with Chelsea, I am in love with English football."

Mourinho's comments arrived on the back of his latest spat with English media over their interpretation of the word `puta' which, when translated, means `son of a bitch'.

The Chelsea coach admits saying the word during their FA Cup quarter-final draw with Tottenham on Sunday but insists it was not meant in an offensive way and was certainly not aimed at referee Mike Riley. The Football Association have also decided not to take any action.

The subject was off limits but Mourinho did reveal his concern over Chelsea's mounting fixture pile-up as well as providing a glimpse of his plans for next season.

Chelsea's fixture congestion has the potential to derail their quest for glory on three fronts and he is already worried by the loss of Michael Essien, Mikel John Obi, Salomon Kalou and top scorer Didier Drogba during the African Nations Cup next season.

Mourinho though is particularly concerned with the easy preparation Valencia will have compared to Chelsea ahead of their Champions League quarter-final tie next month.

Mourinho said: "Of course I am concerned. Last night (Sunday) I watched Valencia and I analysed what they have to do until they play against us.

"They play only two matches - both at home. The have two complete weeks to train properly, tactically and train with a big game in mind."
