Murray making his move in Shanghai

Andy Murray was hoping to book his place in the Masters Cup semi-finals today by beating Frenchman Gilles Simon in Shanghai.

The British world No4 began with a three-sets win against American Andy Roddick, while Simon opened with a surprise victory over world No2 Roger Federer.

Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world No3, is already through to the last four from the other group.
