United will bring Spurs back down to earth

Tottenham will have to end their Manchester United jinx to secure a memorable treble and keep alive their Champions League hopes.

The last time they beat United was in 2001, when Willem Korsten (remember him?) scored twice in a 3-1 victory. And it's more than 20 years since Spurs have come away from Old Trafford with the points. If the omens weren't bad enough for Harry Redknapp's side, United have also conceded just three League goals at home this year.

At least Spurs will be on a major high going into the game after wins over London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in their last two matches.

United to win by one goal, at 5-2, looks the value bet, while it's 7-4 for Dimitar Berbatov to score against his old club and a home win.

It's looking a pity for City

DON'T expect Emmanuel Adebayor to run the length of the pitch again if he scores against Arsenal.

The Manchester City striker has already been warned to cool it ahead of tomorrow's game after his goalscoring antics in the 4-2 win over the Gunners at Eastlands last September.

Paddy Power are taking bets on how lowdly his first touch will be jeered.

Arsenal may be ravaged by injuries but it's 35 years since they last lost at home against City. Conceding a winner against United was cruel on Roberto Mancini's side (but cheered us up, as it landed us a 11-4 tip).

Along with Aston Villa, they have lost the fewest games away from home this season but we predict this will be their fifth defeat on the road.

We're backing Robin van Persie to score (evens) and an Arsenal win and one or two goals in the match (4-1).

Jose is the new Fergie

We've been gazing into our crystal ball and can reveal the following.

Sir Alex Ferguson shocks the football world by quitting Manchester United at the end of the season after failing to win the title. Inter Milan win the Champions League (13-8) and Jose Mourinho quits the San Siro.

Rafa Benitez leaves Liverpool after guiding them to Europa League glory (9-4). He joins Real Madrid as the replacement for Manuel Pellegrini, who is sacked after Barcelona win La Liga (1-3).

Another boss to be shown the exit door is Roberto Mancini as Manchester City miss out on the Champions League with Tottenham finishing fourth (4-5).

City try to lure the Special One but end up with Fabio Capello after he takes England to the World Cup quarter-finals (10-3), where we lose on penalties, of course. There's only one job that Mourinho's after. Expect him to be United's next manager. At odds of 5-4, he's still big value.
