Palace raid for Campbell falls flat

Crystal Palace manager Steve Bruce admits he needs to sign some experienced players if they are to challenge for promotion.
A move for Middlesbrough striker Andy Campbell was put on hold after he failed a medical and a deal for Sporting Lisbon striker Jovan Kirovski is expected to be completed over the weekend.
Bruce, whose side visit Oxford tomorrow, also has offers in on two more players, and he admitted: "We have a young squad with lots of talent, but we need experience to help them."
