Radcliffe chasing a third half marathon title

13 April 2012

Paula Radcliffe, twice champion in the event, will compete against very familiar faces when chasing another World Half Marathon title in Vilamoura, Portugal, tomorrow morning.

Radcliffe, the winner in 2000 and 2001, starts odds-on favourite for a third victory after showing outstanding form throughout September, when the marathon world record holder posted world-class times over five and 10 kilometres and in the half marathon.

Radcliffe goes head to head against defending champion Berhane Adere and Susan Chepkemei, the African stars she decisively defeated in the Great North Run two weeks ago.
