Result everything, says Petric

12 April 2012

Croatia four-goal hero Mladen Petric is not thinking of how many times he might score against England in Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifier.

All that matters to Petric, who led Croatia to a 7-0 win over Andorra on Saturday, is victory.

He told the Daily Star: "This [four goals] is great, but against England I will not think about how many goals I will score. The most important thing will be only to win the match."

He added: "I hoped I would play in the match [against Andorra] and that we would win. But that I would score four goals, I could never ever have dreamed about that."

Croatia coach Slaven Bilic told the paper: "A draw against England is always a good result. However our plan is to get six points against Andorra and England and we'll do what we can. I think we have a good chance."
