RFU wage war on touts

Twickenham chiefs have established a £50,000 war chest to fund the battle against black market ticket traders.

There has been a £1million trade in unofficial hospitality tickets, and the Rugby Football Union will spend the cash to buy black market tickets, including for Sunday's clash with France.

They will identify guilty RFU member clubs, who will lose part of their match allocation. The RFU have just released the names of 12 clubs who have seen their allocations cut or axed totally for allowing tickets onto the black market.

RFU commercial director Paul Vaughan believes the scheme will cut the unofficial hospitality income by 50 per cent "in the next two or three years".
