Rhinestone lines up for Martell Hurdle

13 April 2012

Rhinestone Cowboy will lead Jonjo O'Neill's assault on Saturday's Martell Cognac Aintree Hurdle.

The Jackdaws Castle trainer claims the eight-year-old is in fine shape following his third place in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham, when ridden by J P Magnier.

And the amateur jockey, son of the horse's owners John and Sue Magnier, is to keep the ride for the £150,000 contest in which his rivals will include Rooster Booster.

"Rhinestone Cowboy goes for the Martell Aintree Hurdle," said O'Neill. "He's come out of the Coral Cup really well. If he runs as well on Saturday as he did there we're really looking forward to it."
