Ricketts joins injured list

Tottenham have suffered yet another injury setback with Rohan Ricketts the latest to join the club's midfield casualty list.

Ricketts injured his knee in training and is likely to be ruled out for up to four weeks.

Spurs are already without long-term absentees Simon Davies, Sean Davis and Timothee Atouba.

But striker Fredi Kanoute, who has missed two games with a hamstring tear, may face Chelsea on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Spurs head coach Martin Jol believes there is a strong comparison between young emerging forward Mark Yeates and Spurs legend Paul Gascoigne. Yeates made his first appearance at White Hart Lane on Saturday against Brighton and caught the eye with his mazy runs.

The Spurs head coach said: "He should have scored at least one goal. He has great feet. He's looking a bit like Paul Gascoigne with all his tricks on the ball."

New signings Emil Hallfredsson and David Limbersky both played the full 90 minutes for Spurs reserves in their 5-0 defeat against Southampton last night.
