England full-back Mike Brown has agreed a new contract with Harlequins that will keep him at Twickenham Stoop until 2016.

The 27-year-old, a product of the club’s academy, has played 207 matches and scored 67 tries since making his debut in 2005.

“If there’s a person who embodies what it means to compete for his club it’s Mike,” said director of rugby Conor O’Shea.

“He gives 100 per cent in everything he does. No matter what he achieves, he just becomes hungrier and hungrier for more and that is what you want from your players.”

Brown helped Quins win the Amlin Challenge Cup in 2011 and the Premiership the following year.

“There is so much potential at Quins to challenge in all competitions and I want to continue to be a part of that,” he said.
