17 April 2013

Fly-half Rory Clegg today agreed a two-year deal to rejoin Newcastle from Harlequins.

The 23-year-old, who has represented England Saxons and England Under-20s, has been on loan at Newcastle’s Championship rivals Leeds since Christmas.

He joined Quins in 2009, making more than 50 appearances, but will now move back to Newcastle, who are favourites to clinch promotion to the Premiership next month.

Drew Mitchell today became the latest big name to join Toulon.

The 63-cap New South Wales Waratahs wing will leave Australian rugby at the end of the 2013 Test season to take up a two‑year contract in France.

Mitchell, 29, said: “I just feel it’s the right time for me.”
