Saracens shift Bath time

Saracens' Zurich Premiership game against Bath will now take place at Franklin's Gardens, Northampton on Saturday 6 November after the West Country club refused alternative times and dates to allow the game to go ahead as planned at Watford.

Zurich Premiership matches cannot be staged on the Sunday prior to an England match unless both clubs agree to withdraw all selected England squad players. The scheduled date for the Bath game at Vicarage Road would have fallen within that time period of England's match with Canada on 13 November.

A Saracens spokesman said: "Our fixture list was agreed before the start of the season and it was made clear that the game could go ahead on that date, but we would have to play without our international players. We accepted this. However, we did not get the agreement of Bath. We now realise the onus was on us to resolve this issue and we accept responsibility for the mistake."
