Six Nations ticket ban for Worsley

13 April 2012

England flanker Joe Worsley has been punished by the RFU for "ticket misuse". They have suspended his Six Nations allocation for away matches for the next two seasons.

RFU business operations manager Paul Vaughan said: "The fact that we have imposed well over 100 sanctions shows our commitment to reduce the number of tickets reaching the black market.

"We are determined to take action against those who breach the terms and conditions."

The RFU allow member clubs to sell tickets on to officially licensed operations only.

Bath have responded to criticism among players and fans of a lack of ambition by landing imposing Springbok flyhalf Butch James.

James, who helped the Boks run up 58 points against England at Bloemfontein and 55 in Pretoria, will fill the gap left by Chris Malone's move to Harlequins.
