Paulo Sousa says Gavin Mahon will bounce back after being barracked in the 3-1 defeat to Ipswich.

The home side took an early lead through Samuel Di Carmine but then fell apart with Mahon singled out by supporters.

"It was not a good game for Gavin," said Sousa. "But when you lose you lose together, and when you win you win together. We can count on him in the future."

Watford boss Brendan Rodgers's faith in Tamas Priskin is paying off.

The Hungarian striker scored in a 2-0 win at Blackpool and Rodgers said: "It's just the case of keeping on at him about his work rate because there is no doubt he has the big qualities."

Charlton manager Phil Parkinson stayed positive even though his relegation-threatened side only picked up a point at Barnsley. "We are up for the battle," he said. "We're going to attack it positively."

Crystal Palace lost 2-0 at Sheffield Wednesday and manager Neil Warnock is reeling after Claude Davis was hurt. Warnock said. "Paddy is about four weeks away so we've just got to struggle on."
