London 2012 Paralympics: Rap, punk and funk in store for Paralympic crowds

24 August 2012

An autistic rapper from New Cross and his band are to entertain the Paralympic crowds.

Dean Rodney and The Fish Police are “excited” to be playing their rap, funk and punk blend at Potters Field live site on September 3.

Mr Rodney, 23, works with Deptford’s Heart n Soul arts group which uses culture to unlock disabled people’s potential.

His Games set will follow the unveiling of The Dean Rodney Singers, a 72-strong band from seven countries who collaborated on iPads to create songs and videos, to be seen and heard at the Royal Festival Hall from August 31-Sept 9.
