Women’s hockey final: Netherlands vs Team GB news, TV, prediction and final betting odds

Standard Sport19 August 2016

Great Britain's women advanced to a first-ever Olympic hockey final following a 3-0 victory over New Zealand in Wednesday's semi.

Alex Danson scored a brace before Alex Helen Richardson-Walsh's penalty strike made the game safe in a bruising encounter at Rio 2016.

Britain are already guaranteed to better the bronze they won at London 2012 and will face the Netherlands for the gold on Friday evening.

The Dutch, bidding for a third straight Olympic title, defeated Germany in a semi-final shootout after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
