Suarez set to face Stoke

New Liverpool signing Luis Suarez is set to make his Anfield debut against Stoke after receiving international clearance following his £22.8million transfer from Ajax.

The 24-year-old Uruguay international finalised his move on Monday's deadline day but had to then wait for the necessary paperwork to be completed.

Now that has been done Suarez goes straight into the squad as Kenny Dalglish's side look for a third successive victory.

Suarez's availability lessens the impact of losing Fernando Torres to Chelsea in a £50million deal and the absence of club record signing Andy Carroll, a £35million deadline day arrival, who is still a few weeks away from recovering from a thigh problem.
