Queen’s will boast three of the world’s top four players this summer after Grigor Dimitrov and last year’s runner-up Marin Cilic were added to the field.

World No2 Rafael Nadal has already committed to the London event with the addition of Cilic (No3) and Dimitrov (No4) as general ticket sales opened, the first time Queen’s has boasted three men in the top four of the world rankings.

Five-time winner Andy Murray will also line up at the event from June 18-24 as he plots his return from hip surgery.

“The Queen’s Club Championships is one of the best tournaments that we play, I am proud to have won it and I want to win it again,” said Cilic, who lost on a tie-breaker to Feliciano Lopez last year despite boasting a match point.

“I have been playing the event since I was very young and they even gave me a wildcard in my first year so it’s always been a special place for me.”

Cilic was a subsequent finalist at Wimbledon last year, a feat he repeated at the Australian Open in January.

Meanwhile, Dimitrov, a Queen’s champion in 2014, added: “The Queen’s Club Championships is one of my favourite tournaments, there’s so much history at the event and grass is one of the best times of year. Now that I have the O2 title [having won the end-of-season ATP World Tour Finals], I am motivated to do even better at Queen’s and Wimbledon this year.”
