Wimbledon 2017: Weather forecast update for day two in SW19

Tom Dutton4 July 2017

The sun will beat down on SW19 as day two of the Championships gets under way in Wimbledon.

Andy Murray's win over Alexander Bublik was interrupted by rain on Monday as the Centre Court roof kicked into gear and play resumed after a 30-minute delay.

But there is little chance of the weather halting proceedings on day two, with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic set to return to Wimbledon's main show court.

Milos Raonic, Karolina Pliskova and Dominic Thiem are also in action.

A Met Office report said: "High pressure sitting close to the UK will bring fine weather to south London for the next couple of days.

"Tuesday should be a fine day with some cloud but plenty of sunshine. Don't forget the sun cream, hat and shades if you are going."

Those who have not arrived but were intending to queue at Wimbledon today have been advised to stay away as the number waiting in line already exceeds the All England Club's capacity.
