Wimbledon 2018 prize money: How much will the men and women winners earn?
Wimbledon singles champions will earn a staggering £2.25million at this year's Championships after another healthy boost to the prize pot.
Defending champion Roger Federer is favourite to win the men's crown again and if successful stands to win £50,000 more than the prize money he banked at SW19 12 months ago.
Garbine Muguruza returns to the site of her second Grand Slam title with her sights set firmly on retaining the Venus Rosewater Dish.
Women and men have earnt equal prize money at SW19 since 2007 meaning the ladies singles champion will also take home £2.25million.
That figure represents just under seven per cent of the total prize pot after a further £2.4million was injected into the kitty for the 2018 event.
The total is up £2.6million to £34million, with first round losers taking home a handy £39,000.
Despite this, Wimbledon remains less lucrative than rival Grand Slams. US Open champions won north of £37million last year, while Rafael Nadal took home more than the £34million offered a Wimbledon for his 11th French Open success in May.
