British wildcard Cameron Norrie was beaten in straight sets by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on the opening day at Wimbledon.

Norrie, ranked 221st in the world, lost 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in one hour and 22 minutes on No2 Court in his first-ronund match.

World no10 and 12th seed Tsonga was simply too strong for Norrie and cruised into the second round.

Norrie actually started well but had his serve broken at 3-3 and Tsonga went on to win the first and see the match out comfortably.
