Darren Bent admits the UEFA Cup clash with Wisla Krakow will provide welcome relief from Spurs’ Premier League struggle.

Tottenham are currently bottom of the table after making their worst start to a top-flight campaign for 34 years.

Juande Ramos' side have collected just one point from their opening four games despite spending £70m on new players during the summer.

Spurs reached the last 16 of the UEFA Cup last season and Bent hopes a good performance against the Polish minnows on Thursday can help turn round their season.

'Europe makes a nice change from the Premier League and we did well in the UEFA Cup last year, so we’ll be hoping to go a step further this time,' said Bent.
