Tottenham v Liverpool

13 April 2012

(Noon Saturday, White Hart Lane - live on Sky Sports 1)

Tickets: Sold Out
Last season: Tottenham 2 (Ferdinand, Sherwood) Liverpool 1 (Fowler)
Facts: Liverpool's last League win at Tottenham was in December 1996. Since that 2-0 triumph, with goals from Michael Thomas and Steve McManaman, Spurs have won three times and drawn once
Recommended pub: Antwerp Arms, Church Road
It's been a bit of a curate's egg of a season for Tottenham but they can finish on a particularly high note if they can dispose of Liverpool in their final home game. A win would give them every chance of overtaking neighbours West Ham and finishing in seventh place. With Arsenal looking impregnable, the best Gerard Houllier and his team can realistically hope for is probably second spot, although they won't be throwing the towel in just yet. White Hart Lane could be a fairly active place in the transfer market this summer, as Glenn Hoddle tries to build a team capable of getting closer to the Liverpools of this world.
Verdict: POINT APIECE
