Worsley out of Canada international

Joe Worsley, England's most experienced back-row forward, was last night forced to pull out of the clash with Canada at Twickenham on Saturday with a leg injury.

Gloucester flanker Andy Hazell will make his England debut at openside flanker with Leicester's Lewis Moody switching to blindside as cover for Worsley.

The Wasps flanker suffered a dead leg in the win over Harlequins last Friday and treatment has failed to solve the problem.

Head coach Andy Robinson believes removing Worsley from the Canada game will ensure the 37-times capped flanker is available to face South Africa and Australia over the next two weeks.

Robinson said: "We could have given Joe another couple of days but I agree with the medical team that it's sensible for him not to play this weekend, as we don't want to take any chances with his long term fitness.".

Hazell did not make the World Cup squad but toured Australia and New Zealand with England last year, playing in the victory over New Zealand Maori.
