Wright injured by bowling machine

12 April 2012

England all-rounder Luke Wright is an injury doubt for the fifth one-day international against Australia on Tuesday.

The Sussex player was struck on the toe while batting against a bowling machine at the National Cricket Performance Centre in Loughborough and had to receive stitches.

He will be assessed ahead of the game at Trent Bridge where England will be hoping for a change in fortunes after slipping to an irreversible 4-0 deficit with three games to go.
