This worldwide cycling event attracts regional, national and international interest. British cyclists are among the best in the world, winning five gold medals in the 2004 Olympics and Paralympics.

It is now now part of the professional cycling calendar, and sits alongside one of the world's most famous sporting events, the Tour de France and is being promoted by Enjoy England, whose new campaign, Outdoor England is encouraging us to get outside and enjoy England this summer.
