The DVD documentary features rare clips of Ray's finest performances and greatest hits from five decades of compositions that altered the musical map, including some of his most memorable songs: Let The Good Times Roll, Let's Go Get Stoned, I Can't Stop Loving You, and Georgia On My Mind. There is also never-seen-before footage of historical performances with Jouis Jordan, Count Basie, Muddy Waters, Quincy Jones and Nat King Cole.

On-camera interviews with Ray Charles and other musical personalities such as Quincy Jones, Dizzy Gillespie, Hank Crawford, David "Fathead" Newman, Billy Joel and biographer David Ritz, reveal the heartbreak and hugely colourful details about Ray's life, including his affairs with backing singers and drug related arrests.
