Chelsea have completed the signing of Serbian midfielder Danilo Pantic from Partizan Belgrade.
The 18-year-old had announced in January that he intended to move to London before the end of the season. However that move was not pushed through by the champions, who have waited until August to secure their latest signing.
Pantic has immediately joined Vitesse Arnhem on loan, where he will the likes of Isaiah Brown, Nathan and Lewis Baker from his parent club.
The youngster was delighted with the move, telling the club website: “‘I am very happy to sign for Chelsea, the champions of the English Premier League, and I hope I can show my value at Vitesse in the coming season. I am honoured at the faith both clubs have shown in me.”

The young midfielder was a part of Serbia’s success at last summer’s European Under-19s Championship, helping his country to reach the semi-finals.
